Job Summary

We seek an experienced Mobile Application Tester dedicated to ensuring excellent quality, performance, and user experience of mobile apps on Android and iOS platforms. This role encompasses both manual and automated testing approaches to deliver superior mobile products.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements to design detailed test plans, scenarios, and test cases for mobile apps.
• Conduct manual testing on Android and iOS devices.
• Carry out various testing types including functional, regression, smoke, sanity, user acceptance (UAT), and exploratory tests.
• Test mobile-specific aspects such as push notifications, app installation and uninstallation workflows, device compatibility, and network variations (2G/3G/4G/5G/Wi-Fi).
• Validate UI/UX features, gestures, different screen resolutions, and device orientations.
• Perform compatibility testing across multiple devices, OS versions, and screen sizes.
• Log, monitor, and retest issues using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, and Azure DevOps.
• Work closely with cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams including developers, product owners, and designers.
• Execute API testing for backend communication of mobile apps.
• Validate app performance metrics including stability and battery consumption.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Proficient testing experience with Android and iOS applications.
• Comprehensive understanding of the mobile app lifecycle.
• Familiarity with mobile user experience design guidelines such as Material Design and iOS Human Interface Guidelines (HIG).
• Experience testing on both real devices and emulators or simulators.
• Competency with test management systems like JIRA, TestRail, and ALM.
• Skillful in API testing using tools such as Postman, Charles Proxy, and Fiddler.
• Knowledge of device cloud platforms including BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, and Firebase Test Lab.
• Preferred experience with mobile automation tools including Appium (Android and iOS), Selenium integrated with Appium, and frameworks like TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Basic programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript.

Additional Beneficial Skills

• Experience conducting mobile performance testing using JMeter or LoadRunner.
• Awareness of mobile security testing principles including OWASP Mobile Top 10 vulnerabilities.
• Expertise testing offline and online data synchronization scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISTQB or mobile testing certifications (optional).

• Exposure to mobile applications in sectors such as banking, e-commerce, healthcare, or fintech.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree in any field such as B.Sc, B.C.A, B.Tech, or B.E.

Experience Requirements

Applicants should possess between 4 to 10 years of relevant experience in mobile application testing.

Location

This position is based in Hyderabad, India, with onsite work requirements.
