Position Overview

Eye See You Optometry, a growing mobile eye care provider serving aged care residents across North and Central Queensland, is seeking a qualified and experienced Mobile Optical Dispenser. This full-time role involves traveling directly to various aged care facilities to deliver personalized optical dispensing services alongside optometrists.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert optical dispensing and assist patients with frame selection
• Accurately measure and fit spectacles ensuring proper alignment and comfort
• Guide residents in choosing lens options tailored to their needs
• Take orders and manage the delivery process of eyewear
• Adjust and fit glasses, including after-care support and troubleshooting
• Build and nurture positive relationships with residents, their families, and aged care staff
• Maintain detailed records of patients and dispensing activities
• Travel extensively across North and Central Queensland to various aged care facilities
• Collaborate closely with optometrists and the broader clinical team to ensure seamless patient experiences

Candidate Profile

• Qualified optical dispenser with proven experience in frame selection, measurement, and fitting
• Excellent interpersonal skills; approachable, patient, and professional demeanor
• Ability to work independently and manage travel between multiple locations
• Highly organized with keen attention to detail
• Comfortable working with elderly individuals, including those with limited mobility or communication challenges
• Strong communication skills and passion for delivering exceptional patient care

Experience working specifically with aged care populations is advantageous but not a requirement.
