Role Overview

As a Minor Safety Analyst supporting a global technology client, your primary responsibility will be to protect vulnerable minors by thoroughly reviewing and addressing reports of safety incidents and abusive behaviors. This involves conducting detailed investigations using both open-source data and platform-specific information to detect harmful activities, identify threat actors, and evaluate related risks. You will manage a high volume of analytical tasks, ensuring precise documentation and timely delivery of findings in line with strict deadlines.

Collaborating across departments, you help ensure that all safety concerns are addressed efficiently while following established protocols. This position is remote within Australia and requires working a schedule from Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm local time.

Key Duties

  • Process and review abuse and safety reports focused on potential harm towards minors, adhering stringently to operational guidelines.
  • Perform in-depth investigations utilizing open-source intelligence (OSINT) and platform data to analyze behavioral abuse and identify threat actors.
  • Support analytic workflows by documenting findings clearly, meeting deadlines, and maintaining high precision and consistency.
  • Generate clear and succinct summaries, briefings, and investigative documentation for stakeholders both internally and externally.
  • Work effectively with team members, cross-functional partners, and vendors to facilitate accurate processing of safety requests.
  • Contribute to ongoing enhancements of investigative methods and knowledge databases.
  • Engage in team training, peer review processes, and shadowing activities to strengthen investigative expertise.

Candidate Profile

  • Between one and two years of professional experience in trust and safety, behavioral abuse investigations, intelligence research, or equivalent roles.
  • Proficient with open-source research methodologies, social media investigations, or analysis of online risks.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information clearly and impartially.
  • Familiarity with online behavioral threat dynamics, influence operations, or content moderation is advantageous.
  • Proven capacity to handle multiple investigative cases under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
  • Working knowledge of the investigative process, including data validation and source reliability assessment.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as International Relations, Criminology, Cybersecurity, Communications, or an equivalent professional background.
  • Must have permanent work authorization in Australia.
