About the Role
Join Samaritan's Purse as a Ministry Pilot based in Entebbe, Uganda, supporting humanitarian initiatives through aviation. This full-time position calls for pilots dedicated to integrating their Christian faith into their work, endorsing biblical values, and participating in daily devotions and prayers. The role involves operating Cessna C208B Caravan and DC-3 aircraft to aid ministry activities across Eastern Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a personal and active relationship with Jesus Christ and continuously exemplify Christian witness.
- Operate Cessna C208B Caravan and DC-3 aircraft to facilitate ministry missions across Eastern Africa.
- Conduct safe flight operations including thorough planning, weather analysis, route optimization, weight and balance computations, and ensuring passenger, cargo, and baggage safety.
- Perform detailed pre-flight, post-flight, and routine aircraft inspections to detect discrepancies and assure airworthiness in line with aviation regulations and ministry protocols.
- Keep aircraft clean and mission-ready, ensuring sanitation of cabin and restroom areas and maintain up-to-date navigation charts, databases, software, and flight resources.
- Assist with hangar, property, and aircraft maintenance efforts within pilot scope and liaise with maintenance staff and FAA representatives as needed.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience with 2 to 4 years relevant background.
- Minimum 2,500 total flying hours, including at least 500 hours in turboprop and/or turbojet aircraft.
- Possession of FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate including Single-Engine Land, Multi-Engine Land, and Instrument ratings.
- Current FAA First Class Medical Certificate.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate is preferred.
- Completion of 12 credit hours in college-level Biblical Studies is required; provision for completion post-hire is available if needed.

Additional Information
