Job Overview
A national mining company is seeking an Underground Mine Geologist to join their team. This role involves continuing current projects and contributing to new exploration initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and planning of underground drilling programs.
- Perform grade control tasks, support resource modeling, and ensure geological databases are maintained accurately.
- Support the execution and design of drilling plans and programs.
- Collaborate with Mining Operations, Geotechnical, and Technical Services teams to aid mine planning and address geology-related challenges.
- Enhance geological processes to maximize ore recovery, reduce dilution, and provide precise and timely ore delineation.
- Gather, validate, reconcile, and report geological data to support production, resource expansion, and ongoing improvements.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a tertiary qualification in Geology.
- Has over three years of Australian hardrock underground mining experience.
- Possesses proficient knowledge of geological databases and modeling software such as Vulcan, Micromine, Leapfrog, or Datamine.
- Demonstrates strong skills in data validation, mapping, modeling, reconciliation, and reporting.
