Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled full-time Millwright to join our Edmonton team. This role focuses on repairing, troubleshooting, and installing machinery and equipment utilizing a variety of tools. Expertise in interpreting repair documents, manuals, blueprints, and schematic diagrams to plan activities accurately is critical. Additionally, the role involves managing and documenting maintenance tasks, specifically for backup roll bearing upkeep, through our maintenance management system.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safe and environmentally responsible work practices.
• Support the company's Vision, Mission, and Objectives actively.
• Perform troubleshooting and maintenance of plant machinery.
• Maintain precise, legible records and ensure a clean, orderly, and safe workspace.
• Strictly follow safety procedures during all tasks.
• Identify and implement improvements aligned with plant operation targets.
• Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.

Candidate Requirements

• Certified Journeyman Millwright qualification.
• Proficient in using various air impact tools, pipe fitting equipment, hoists, cutting torches, and welding instruments.
• At least 4 years of experience in heavy industrial plant maintenance preferred.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Skilled in assembling, dismantling, and reassembling machinery and equipment.
• Capable of operating mobile cranes, bridge cranes, and forklifts.
• Comfortable using computer applications relevant to maintenance activities.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, coupled with good organizational ability.
• Effective problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
• Basic mathematical knowledge; familiarity with geometry and trigonometry is advantageous.
• Successful completion of ergonomics evaluation.
• Training in bearing maintenance and hydraulic systems preferred.
• Experience with predictive maintenance techniques such as vibration analysis, thermographic imaging, ultrasound, and laser alignment preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage is $49.91. Our total remuneration package includes:
