Millwright

Overview

This role requires completion of work exclusively at the premises in Windsor, Ontario, no remote work is available. The position involves maintenance and repair duties for mechanical systems and machinery, with an emphasis on assembly, troubleshooting, and upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical equipment according to specifications.
• Identify and resolve mechanical faults or irregularities.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to understand work requirements.
• Repair or replace faulty parts in mechanical machinery.
• Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or machine setup.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on various machinery.
• Use machining tools to create necessary components.
• Install machinery and equipment as needed.
• Operate hoisting and lifting devices safely.

Requirements

• Possession of Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification.
• Educational background includes a certificate or diploma in other trades.
• Experience ranging between 2 to 3 years in a related role.
• Experience working with automated and robotic systems, conveyors, fans, blowers, hydraulic systems, and power tools.
• Solid troubleshooting skills specialized in mechanical equipment.
• Must submit to a criminal record check as part of the hiring process.
• Have personal transportation for commuting.
• Capacity to handle physical tasks such as bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for long durations.
• Ability to lift weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Possess own set of tools and steel-toed safety boots.
• Strong oral and written communication abilities and a collaborative team approach.

Work Conditions and Physical Demands

• High attention to detail is necessary.
• Physical demands include repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, and extended periods of standing.
• Lifting and handling of loads up to 50 pounds.
