Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Milling Machine Operator to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra. The operator will be responsible for running milling machines according to production plans and technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate milling equipment following production needs and engineering specifications.
- Interpret engineering drawings including dimensions and tolerance levels.
- Prepare machinery by setting up proper job clamping, tooling, and aligning workpieces.
- Carry out various milling processes such as facing, slotting, drilling, pocketing, and contouring.
- Choose suitable cutting tools and determine speeds and feeds based on the material and milling operation.
- Use precision measuring tools like Vernier calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify job dimensions.
- Ensure all machined parts comply with defined quality and dimensional standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine or tooling problems encountered during operation.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and promptly communicate any quality or mechanical issues to supervisors.
- Strive to reduce material waste while meeting scheduled production targets.
- Collaborate with teams from Production, Quality, and Tool Room departments as necessary.
Additional Information
The monthly salary for this position ranges between INR 25,000 and INR 27,000.
