Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-focused Migration Coordinator to become an integral part of our Migration Team. This full-time, remote position involves hands-on involvement with Australian visa applications, migration case management, and skills assessments. Working closely with Registered Migration Agents (RMAs) and Migration Team Leaders, you will coordinate and advance applications from the stage of gathering documents through to final lodgement.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle multiple Australian migration and visa cases ensuring timely progression within established deadlines.
- Examine client questionnaires and documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with visa requirements.
- Draft and prepare visa, nomination, Employer Sponsored Business (SBS), Expression of Interest (EOI), and skills assessment applications for review by RMAs or Migration Managers.
- Work with a wide range of visa categories, including subclasses 186, 482, 494, 820, 801, 600, 485, and other relevant Australian visa applications.
- Assist with skills assessments conducted by recognized authorities such as VETASSESS, ACS, AITSL, Engineers Australia, ANMAC, AASW, among others.
- Organize and prepare supporting documents like employment evidence, contracts, reference letters, and position descriptions adhering to company protocol.
- Manage document creation, review, renaming, merging, compression, and filing following company and application standards.
- Maintain accurate client files, case notes, checklists, and records using Migration Manager or a CRM system.
- Engage with clients to obtain missing or corrected documents and provide updates on application statuses.
- Conduct orientation calls with clients to clarify documentation and processing requirements.
- Track application progress and coordinate with clients, RMAs, assessing authorities, and other stakeholders.
- Support responses to Requests for Further Information (RFIs) and fulfill other application requirements within set deadlines.
- Perform legislative and procedural research to support migration cases.
- Prepare supporting submissions and statements, including Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) statements, nomination documents, character and health submissions, as needed.
- Escalate complex issues to RMAs or Migration Managers for appropriate handling.
- Prioritize urgent cases to ensure critical due dates are met.
- Foster cooperation with internal teams such as Sales, Training, and Administration for streamlined processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in Australian migration, visa processing, immigration consulting, or a comparable role.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare Australian visa applications and handle related supporting documentation.
- Familiarity in working with skills assessments, EOIs, nominations, and employer-sponsored applications.
- Knowledge of Australian visa subclasses including 186, 482, 494, 820, 801, 600, and 485 is highly advantageous.
- Experience interacting with skills assessment organizations like VETASSESS, ACS, AITSL, Engineers Australia, ANMAC, AASW, or similar entities.
- Strong understanding of the Australian migration application protocols and documentation requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors or missing information in applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proven experience managing multiple applications and strict deadlines effectively.
- Well-developed organizational, research, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously while following guidance from RMAs or Migration Managers.
- Familiarity with Migration Manager software, CRM tools or other migration case management systems is a plus.
