Role Overview

The Technology department at Revolut is dedicated to building the foundational systems and user experiences that empower the business. They focus on maintaining lean frameworks, prioritizing clean, maintainable code that is delivered rapidly using methodologies such as Test-Driven Development (TDD), Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and continuous integration and deployment.

The technology stack includes Java 17/21, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, NewRelic, PostgreSQL, Redis, Spock, jOOQ, and Flyway.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mobile APIs.
• Create and evolve microservices architectures.
• Enhance critical business systems including risk management, fraud detection, and payment processing.
• Engage in greenfield development as well as improvements to existing platforms.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

• Proficiency in Java programming.
• At least five years of backend development experience.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to learn quickly with an ambitious and result-focused mindset.
• Effective teamwork skills in dynamic, fast-paced settings.
• Strong communication and organizational capabilities.
• Fluency in English.

Preferred but Not Required

• Experience with Kotlin or Scala programming languages.
• Background or experience within the financial sector.
• Working knowledge of startup or scaling company environments.
• Experience in product-centric settings.
