Job Overview
The Mid-Shift Dealer will be tasked with centralizing, coordinating, and facilitating the execution of trades including equities, structured products, bonds, and foreign exchange for various client segments. This role aims to mitigate corporate risk by ensuring only authorized personnel engage in trades, thus minimizing transaction costs and preventing unauthorized or erroneous trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute trade orders through authorized brokers accurately.
- Maintain adherence to best business practices and dealing guidelines throughout the trading process.
- Report any trade conflicts or disputes to the immediate supervisor promptly.
- Seek optimal prices for structured products and fixed income trades.
- Keep the Front Office updated with the most recent Initial Price Offerings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a degree plus a minimum of five years’ experience at a dealing desk.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Strong interest in financial markets and a good understanding of various financial instruments.
- Knowledgeable in trading equities, foreign exchange, fixed income products, and structured products.
- Familiar with Bloomberg and AVALOQ systems.
- Preference given to candidates holding CMFAS and CACS certification papers.
Certification Exams
- Completion of relevant CMFAS exams such as M1A / M1B / RES1B / RES12B, M2A / RES2B / RES12B, and M6 / CM-EIP is expected.
