About the Role
The Life Planner serves as a dedicated financial planning expert focused on empowering clients to gain financial confidence and readiness for retirement through comprehensive, goal-oriented financial plans. Reporting directly to the Head of Retirement Advisory & Solutions, this role emphasizes pure advisory responsibilities, providing unbiased, need-based advice across retirement, wealth accumulation, protection, investments, and legacy planning areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) to understand clients' specific financial goals, key priorities, risk tolerance, and readiness for retirement.
- Craft tailored financial plans that encompass protection planning, investments, retirement strategies, wealth growth, and estate or legacy considerations.
- Identify any financial shortfalls or opportunities by engaging clients in structured planning conversations.
- Advise clients on available financial alternatives to enable well-informed decisions.
- Educate clients about retirement income options, CPF implications, wealth transfer, and overall financial preparedness.
- Establish trusted, transparent, and empathetic relationships to deliver advisory services aligned with clients' life objectives.
- Regularly review and update financial plans to keep recommendations aligned with clients’ changing circumstances.
- Maintain thorough records of client needs, consultations, guidance, and outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with Relationship Managers and Insurance Specialists to ensure a common understanding of client requirements and to facilitate solution discussions.
- Join client meetings requiring specialist financial planning expertise.
- Act as an internal expert on retirement and holistic financial planning topics.
- Fulfill all necessary assessments including FNA, Customer Knowledge Assessment (CKA), and Investment Risk Profiling (IRP).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies, internal policies, and governance frameworks while maintaining professional ethics in all client engagements.
Desired Experience and Qualifications
- Between 5 to 7 years of professional background in wealth management, financial planning, retail banking, insurance advisory, or related client-facing financial roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in conducting comprehensive financial planning dialogues and need-based advisory consultations.
- Strong understanding of retirement, investment, protection, estate and legacy planning, wealth building, and client risk profiling.
- Hands-on experience completing Financial Needs Analyses, Customer Knowledge Assessments, and Investment Risk Profiling.
- Required certifications include CMFAS modules M5, M6, M9, and HI. Additional credentials such as CFP, AEPP, and CPF-related certifications are advantageous.
- Exceptional communication abilities, effective stakeholder engagement, and an interpersonal style centred on a consultative, client-focused approach.
Additional Information
This position is full-time and based onsite in Singapore. Candidates will be notified only if shortlisted.
