Role Overview

We are looking for a Microsoft Licensing Specialist who will become deeply knowledgeable about our partners' Microsoft software needs. This role involves recommending tailored Microsoft licensing agreements and solutions, helping partners effectively navigate Microsoft's licensing programs with precision and attentiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer pre-sales assistance and prepare quotations via phone and email, covering Microsoft cloud and on-premises software.
  • Evaluate partner licensing queries and requirements to suggest appropriate licensing products and solutions, simplifying complex licensing concepts to make them easily understandable.
  • Manage a heavy workload including responding to over 100 emails daily and dedicating up to three hours on the phone supporting partners using a professional and confident approach.
  • Deliver prompt, high-quality service to cultivate and maintain strong partner relationships.
  • Participate in conference calls with end-users, guiding customers through transitions from existing licensing agreements to cloud services.
  • Advise on various Microsoft licensing programs such as CSP, Perpetual CSP, NCE, Open Value, OVS, OVS-ES, and SPLA.
  • Support management and upkeep of more than 10,000 legacy Microsoft Volume Licensing agreements.
  • Process orders as needed to support the sales workflow.
  • Commit to ongoing professional growth, including obtaining certifications like MS-900.
  • Stay updated with developments in Microsoft licensing programs, software products, and agreements.
  • Identify and assess new licensing opportunities to help partners expand.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to resolve queries and ensure a smooth customer experience from quotation to order completion.
  • Contribute to business growth opportunities, including expanding expertise to other cloud software vendors beyond Microsoft.
  • Report directly to the Head of Product.

Candidate Profile

  • Familiarity with Microsoft licensing or software licensing concepts is advantageous.
  • Experience in sales or customer-facing roles with aptitude to discern customer needs and propose fitting solutions.
  • Strong communication skills with confidence in engaging partners and clients via phone, email, and face-to-face interactions.
  • Keen attention to detail and dedication to producing accurate, quality work.
  • Ability to independently manage workload and priorities effectively.
  • Proactive attitude towards ongoing learning and adaptation in line with evolving Microsoft products, licensing programs, and technologies.
  • Capability to articulate complex licensing topics clearly and confidently to audiences with diverse technical backgrounds.
