Job description
Overview
The Microbiologist will oversee quality control testing related to microbiology for product materials and purified water, including environmental monitoring. This role involves performing microbiological analyses to ensure materials meet established quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct and document microbiological testing on raw materials, semi-finished and finished products following standard operating procedures and approved protocols.
- Prepare necessary reagents, solutions, standards, media, and samples to facilitate testing processes.
- Carefully record all findings and conduct data review before releasing inspection lots within the material management system.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, ensuring equipment reliability through regular maintenance and troubleshooting minor malfunctions.
- Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies to enhance laboratory efficiency.
- Manage all relevant paperwork including report generation and documentation.
- Prepare receiving check reports according to accurate specifications.
- Report any deviations or abnormalities through quality deviation notifications and initiate corrective actions promptly.
- Strictly comply with company safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies to ensure workplace safety during all working hours.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related scientific discipline.
- More than one year of experience in a similar microbiology quality control role.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in mathematics and English language skills.
- Effective use of computer applications, including MS Office suite.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Capability to perform well under pressure to meet deadlines and quality standards.
