About the Role
A manufacturing company based near Duncan, British Columbia is seeking a Metal Fabricator to join their team during the afternoon shift. The position offers a wage of $40 per hour and involves working directly at their facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Create metal parts according to detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Use hand tools, press brake machines, and cranes safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to guide fabrication processes.
- Carry out quality inspections to ensure products meet compliance standards.
- Perform welding tasks utilizing various methods, including MIG, TIG, or arc welding.
- Maintain and repair equipment as needed to ensure smooth operations.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated previous experience in metal fabrication is mandatory.
- Competent in understanding and interpreting blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Strong mechanical skills and a solid grasp of fabrication techniques.
- Hands-on familiarity with operating press brake machines and cranes.
- Proficiency in using hand tools safely.
- Welding experience with MIG, TIG, or arc methods is preferred.
