Role Responsibility Overview
As a full-time Merchant Acquisition Manager based in Singapore, your primary duty is to identify, reach out to, and onboard new merchants on the MobiPay payment platform. Focus areas include digital businesses with strong growth potential and enterprise-level clients. Daily tasks encompass managing a sales pipeline, conducting market intelligence, negotiating on merchant contracts, and overseeing the complete onboarding process.
You will collaborate closely with product, operations, and compliance departments to guarantee a seamless integration experience, support merchant launches, and optimize ongoing performance. You will also monitor key acquisition metrics, compile reports, and provide feedback to refine value offerings and market strategies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in merchant acquisition, business development, or sales, especially within fintech, payments, e-commerce, or financial services sectors.
- Strong skills in relationship building and negotiation, capable of establishing trust and finalizing deals with merchants and partners.
- Deep understanding of digital payment systems, cross-border transactions, and payment APIs; knowledge of foreign exchange, settlement, and treasury services is an asset.
- Analytical capability to assess merchant performance and market opportunities using CRM and reporting tools.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English; knowledge of other Asian languages is advantageous.
- Adaptable and collaborative in dynamic, fast-growing environments, showing ownership and flexibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience dealing with Southeast Asian markets, especially Vietnam, is highly preferred.
