Job description
Job Overview
The role of Merchandiser involves managing in-store product placement and presentation to maximize sales effectiveness and customer appeal.
Key Responsibilities
- Install point-of-sale (POS) materials as required.
- Provide regular reports on competitor activities to the merchandising unit head.
- Ensure shelves are clean and free of damaged or soiled items, returning defective stock to the company.
- Confirm that all sizes and packaging variants of company products are fully stocked on shelves.
- Follow and apply sales planograms maintaining shelf layouts aligned with shelf rent agreements.
- Verify pricing accuracy on product shelves.
- Accurately complete customer cards for record keeping.
- Perform price checks and adjustments (price fishing) when necessary.
- Carry out monthly inventory counts at points of sale.
Internal Collaboration
Work closely with the Merchandiser Unit Head, Product Supervisors (PS), Senior Product Supervisors (SPS), and the Sales team.
Job Qualifications & Competencies
- Minimum educational qualification: High School diploma.
- Experience of 1 to 2 years in merchandising or related fields is required.
Minimum education
Higher Secondary (Class 12)
