Merchandiser

Position Overview

The role involves managing product merchandising within major high-volume retail stores such as grocery outlets. Responsibilities include shelving products, rotating inventory on shelves and in coolers, setting up promotional displays, organizing storage rooms, and transporting items between storage and sales floors. Interaction with store personnel is vital to the role.

Key Responsibilities

• Stock shelves, coolers, and promotional displays with assigned products in stores
• Perform regular rotation of products both in backrooms and on shelves to ensure freshness
• Safely transport products from storage to sales areas using equipment like U-Boats, hand trucks, and pallet jacks
• Install and maintain promotional signage and banners in retail locations
• Maintain neat and organized backroom inventory
• Report store-related issues to store managers and internal company management
• Develop and sustain positive customer relationships at store level
• Follow established operating procedures such as scan-in/scan-out processes and adherence to assigned routes
• Work autonomously with minimal supervision and use handheld devices to record and input orders
• Consistently maintain dependable attendance for scheduled work hours

Candidate Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Fulfill the physical requirements of the role, including lifting cases weighing between 20-45 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, and pulling
• Possess reliable personal transportation and a valid U.S. driver's license with proof of insurance to travel between multiple store locations
• Preferably have prior experience in retail or grocery environments involving inventory stocking, backroom management, product merchandising, or customer service

• The position is physically demanding and includes consistent start times and routes; alternative schedules may be possible over time
• Mileage reimbursement is provided when using a personal vehicle for company routes
