Merchandiser - Hourly Full-Time Day Shift

Role Overview

Join a community-focused, locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart store to assist in delivering health, beauty, and convenience services while putting customers at the forefront of all activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain organized backroom inventory following Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) procedures.
• Utilize Portable Data Terminals (PDT) and Merchandising Management Systems (MMS) to complete daily tasks effectively.
• Manage product exit strategies and returns as directed.
• Develop expertise in assigned product areas, ensuring accurate stock levels, optimal placement, and managing expiry dates.
• Uphold store image standards by arranging consumer-focused and accessible product displays.
• Receive merchandise according to established policies and maintain accurate documentation of receiving and returns.
• Keep the backroom orderly in line with organizational principles.
• Assist store management in maintaining high-quality standards across operations.
• Provide excellent customer service by presenting a neat appearance and proactively engaging with customers on the floor.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, store standards, and loss prevention protocols.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Availability to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends.
• Capacity to lift weights up to 50 pounds and climb ladders as needed.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this position is CAD $17.60 to $20.85. Final compensation depends on candidate experience, knowledge, and location. This role is an existing vacancy. The company employs artificial intelligence in the candidate screening and selection process.
