Merchandiser - Full Time, Hourly, Day Shift

About the Role

Join a community-focused, locally owned store aiming to provide health, beauty, and convenience services with the customer as the top priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Organize and manage backroom stock following Backroom Inventory Management processes.
• Operate PDT and MMS systems daily to perform merchandising tasks.
• Handle product returns and exit strategies as directed.
• Maintain expertise in product inventory, placement, and monitor expiry dates within assigned product areas.
• Ensure store appearance and product displays meet company standards and customer-friendly layout requirements.
• Receive merchandise adhering to company policies and keep backroom environment tidy and orderly.
• Complete all documentation related to receiving and returning goods accurately.
• Support store managers in maintaining overall quality and standards.
• Adhere to uniform policy and provide courteous assistance to customers in-store.
• Follow all health and safety guidelines along with loss prevention procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Good judgment, planning capabilities, and decision-making skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and neatness.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations on the sales floor.
• Accuracy and efficiency in cash handling if applicable.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with cash registers.
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Flexible schedule including night and weekend shifts.
• Capability to lift items up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable climbing ladders when necessary.

Compensation

The hourly wage range is $16.35 to $17.95, considering experience, knowledge, and location. This is an existing vacancy, and AI technology may be used during candidate selection.
