Merchandiser - Full Time Day Shift

About the Role

Join a locally owned Shoppers Drug Mart to provide health, beauty, and convenience products while focusing on excellent customer service within your community.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Arrange backroom stock adhering to Backroom Inventory Management (BIMI) protocols.
• Utilize PDT and MMS systems daily for task completion.
• Manage product return processes and execute exit strategies as instructed.
• Maintain expertise in product inventory, placement, and expiry dates for assigned areas.
• Uphold store image standards ensuring product displays are consumer-friendly and easily shoppable.
• Receive goods per company policies, maintain an orderly backroom, and complete all relevant documentation regarding merchandise receipt and returns.
• Assist Front Store management in preserving store quality and standards.
• Present a clean and neat appearance in line with uniform and dress code policies.
• Proactively assist customers while they shop.
• Comply with health, safety, store standards, and loss prevention rules.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong planning, decision-making, and judgment abilities.
• Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented with strong record-keeping skills.
• Adaptable to changing situations on the sales floor.
• Experience with computers and cash registers; accuracy and efficiency are essential if handling cash.
• Capable of working independently and motivated to take initiative.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Flexible availability including night and weekend shifts.
• Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds and to climb ladders.

Salary

Hourly wage ranges from $17.60 to $20.85, influenced by experience, knowledge, and geographic location.
