Job Overview
Ando invites applications for the role of Menu Pricing Analyst. This position suits individuals who are analytical, commercially focused, and comfortable working hands-on with food delivery platforms. The role involves managing the financial aspects of menus as well as operational presence across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Calculate and analyze recipe costs across multiple food brands.
- Monitor food costs and profit margins regularly.
- Conduct competitor price comparisons to inform strategy.
- Provide thoughtful pricing recommendations for offerings on various platforms.
- Manage the setup and launch of new brands and menus on Uber Eats, Glovo, Bolt Food, and the Ando app.
- Perform ongoing updates to menus including prices, item listings, modifiers, availability, descriptions, and categorization.
- Source and choose appropriate food images to enhance menu listings when necessary.
- Maintain consistent, high-quality presentation of menus, including images and wording across all delivery platforms.
- Support brand launches by ensuring menus are accurately live on all channels.
- Collaborate with Growth, Marketing, Culinary, and Operations teams on promotions, bundles, and menu modifications.
- Detect low-margin, mispriced, or underperforming items and suggest corrective actions.
- Generate regular reports analyzing profitability, pricing, competitive activity, and overall menu performance.
Candidate Profile
- Between 1 to 3 years in pricing, menu management, commercial analysis, cost accounting, food-tech, or comparable positions.
- Deep knowledge of food and recipe costing, margin analysis, and competitor pricing evaluation.
- Proficiency in managing and updating menus directly on digital food delivery platforms.
- Exceptional attention to detail, capable of identifying inaccuracies in pricing, images, descriptions, or modifiers.
- Experience within restaurants, cloud kitchens, quick service restaurants (QSR), food technology, or foodservice environments is highly advantageous.
- Background at food-delivery or food-tech companies like Uber Eats, Glovo, or Bolt Food is preferred.
- Strong skills in Excel and Google Sheets for data management and analysis.
- Excellent research abilities to find appropriate menu imagery and perform competitor benchmarking.
- Preferably a bachelor's degree in fields such as Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related disciplines.
Work Environment
This role is based in Nairobi, Kenya, and involves close coordination with the Growth Lead and teams from Finance, Culinary, Marketing, and Operations departments.
