About The Spencer Hotel
The Spencer Hotel is a four-star property situated in a prime location overlooking the River Liffey in Dublin’s financial district. It is conveniently positioned within a 10-minute walking distance from O’Connell Street and close to Connolly & Dublin Docklands Dart and commuter train stations, as well as Luas and Dublin Bus services.
Role Overview
The Meetings & Events Supervisor will manage the operations related to meetings and events, upholding service quality and standards to create exceptional guest experiences.
Key Duties
- Oversee daily Meetings & Events activities to ensure all functions such as meetings, conferences, and events are executed efficiently and meet high-quality standards.
- Coordinate event setups, including room layouts, equipment, food and beverage arrangements, and scheduling according to the client’s needs.
- Lead and motivate the Meetings & Events team by assigning tasks, managing performance, offering training support, and maintaining professional service standards.
- Collaborate closely with departments such as Events, Kitchen, Housekeeping, and Maintenance to ensure smooth communication and flawless event execution.
- Develop strong client and guest relationships by promptly addressing inquiries, requests, and feedback to enhance satisfaction.
- Monitor staffing, stock levels, equipment, and departmental organization to ensure readiness and safety for upcoming events.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous supervisory experience in a 4-star hotel environment or a comparable restaurant setting.
- A proven track record of effective team management.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and busy periods.
- Strong communication skills and organizational competence.
- A positive, enthusiastic, and dynamic attitude.
- A commitment to continuous learning and career development.
