Job Overview

Join Quest Diagnostics as a Medical Courier in Saint Rose, LA, working Monday to Friday from 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with rotational weekends twice a month from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. This role directly supports healthcare by ensuring the timely and safe transport of medical specimens and laboratory materials on a consistent route.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, transport, and deliver medical specimens and lab supplies on a pre-planned schedule.
• Maintain professional communication with healthcare professionals including doctors, nurses, and lab personnel to ensure punctual deliveries.
• Operate a company-issued non-commercial driver's license vehicle safely at all times.
• Use handheld scanners, route software, and mobile applications to monitor deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Handle specimens with care, ensuring proper labeling, storage, and documentation adhere to safety protocols.
• Adhere strictly to DOT, HIPAA, OSHA, and company safety regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least three years of driving experience and have a Motor Vehicle Record with no more than two moving violations in the past 36 months, and none in the last 12 months.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills are essential.
• Strong attention to detail with reliable documentation ability.
• Capable of working independently and addressing challenges encountered during work.
• Comfortable using mobile technology and scanning equipment.
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and be active throughout the shift.
• Previous experience in medical, customer service, courier, or logistics fields is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive starting pay beginning at $17.50 per hour.
• Possible shift differential pay of 10% for second shifts and 15% for third shifts when applicable.
