Role Overview
The Mechanical Supervisor position is a full-time, on-site role charged with managing daily mechanical maintenance tasks. Responsibilities include planning and coordinating both preventative and corrective maintenance, delegating work to technicians, and ensuring tasks meet safety and quality standards while being completed timely. The supervisor conducts periodic inspections, identifies potential mechanical faults, and implements corrective measures to reduce system downtime. Maintaining precise maintenance documentation, cooperating with multiple departments to meet operational aims, and driving continuous improvements in maintenance procedures are essential. Leadership through example, team advancement, and adherence to all safety and quality policies are core to this role.
Qualifications and Expectations
- Proven supervisory skills encompassing team coordination, performance assessment, and workload management.
- Experience planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance activities efficiently.
- Competence in maintenance management, including resource allocation, documentation, and reporting.
- Thorough inspection skills ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in mechanical systems.
- Educational background in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical diploma or degree.
- Previous industrial or facilities maintenance experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
- Knowledgeable in safety regulations, mechanical standards, and best practices to ensure equipment reliability.
- Strong analytical problem-solving capabilities coupled with effective onsite communication and teamwork skills.
