  • Verify correct installation parameters such as equipment alignment, dimensions, tolerances, anchor supports, bolt torques, embedments, and overall workmanship quality.
  • Oversee and document mechanical testing procedures like pressure tests, hydrostatic testing, flushing, welding inspections, and non-destructive testing (NDT).
  • Check incoming mechanical materials against approved purchase orders, submittals, specifications, and relevant standards.
  • Liaise with construction teams, engineering departments, client QA/QC representatives, third-party inspectors, and lab personnel to ensure quality compliance.

  • Identify non-conformities and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs); monitor corrective actions to ensure timely closure.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), mechanical commissioning, punch-list inspections, and resolving outstanding snags.
  • Assist with the preparation of final quality control dossiers and handover packages, encompassing test certificates, calibration documentation, as-built drawings, and warranty records.
  • Contribute toward quality key performance indicators, continuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned, and fostering a culture emphasizing right-first-time quality delivery.

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Working awareness of ISO 9001 standards; familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is advantageous.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical codes, standards, project-specific specs, and inspection requirements.
  • Certification in welding inspection, coating inspection, or related mechanical inspection disciplines is a plus.

Experience

  • At least 5 years of post-academic work experience in QA/QC and inspection roles.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in mechanical inspection within construction or EPC projects.
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, piping installations, testing, and mechanical equipment commissioning.
  • Proven familiarity with pressure testing, hydrostatic tests, flushing procedures, welding inspections, NDT coordination, and mechanical alignment checks.
  • Practical involvement with preparation and usage of ITPs, inspection checklists, NCRs, and related quality control documentation.
  • Participation in FAT/SAT, commissioning phases, punch-list resolution, and project closeout activities.
  • Coordination experience with a broad array of stakeholders including clients, consultants, subcontractors, third-party inspectors, laboratories, construction crews, and engineering teams.

Skills
