Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to focus on the creation and evaluation of mechanical systems including automation, bespoke testing equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures with varying levels of complexity and scope.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyze both static and dynamic mechanical systems as well as automation tools, custom test apparatus, tooling, jigs, and fixtures.
• Prepare detailed design documents to aid in manufacturing, assembly, and validation of system performance such as 2D and 3D CAD files, testing documentation, manufacturing/assembly guidelines, operating manuals, and troubleshooting instructions.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in equipment and tooling design.
• Proficient professional experience specifically using Creo Elements Direct CAD software.
• Proven aptitude to independently identify issues and develop solutions for complex system-level challenges.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills necessary for effective collaboration across teams and external groups.
• Ability to self-manage tasks and achieve goals with little supervision.
• Competency in designing mechanical parts using plastic and metal materials.
• Exceptional analytical, empirical problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
• Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheet use, file systems navigation, network basics, and internet research.
