Role Overview
Based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, this full-time, on-site Mechanical Designer position involves creating and refining mechanical component designs and systems. Responsibilities include preparing detailed technical drawings and 3D CAD models, collaborating closely with engineers and project teams to finalize specifications, and performing basic calculations along with design analyses. The role also supports prototype development and testing phases, contributes to research and development initiatives, updates design documentation, and ensures compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations. Close coordination with internal stakeholders is essential to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality mechanical solutions.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Solid foundational knowledge in Mechanical Engineering with practical experience in mechanical systems and components.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software for preparing accurate 2D and 3D models and technical drawings.
- Experience in machine design, including conceptual development, detailed part elaboration, and optimization for performance and manufacturability.
- Ability to participate in Research and Development activities by evaluating new materials, technologies, and design methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and basic manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail, complemented by the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is considered beneficial.
- Previous experience in a mechanical design or engineering capacity is preferred.
