Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Engineer

Role Overview

Join C&F Tooling LTD as a Mechanical Design & Manufacturing Engineer in the Engineering Department, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager. This role requires expertise in mechanical design and manufacturing processes to support product development and production quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Create precise manufacturing engineering detailed drawings and work instructions using 3D modeling software to maintain design accuracy of produced parts.
• Oversee New Product Introductions (NPIs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) throughout all manufacturing phases.
• Examine customer drawings to judge component manufacturability, recommending cost-saving design improvements and quality enhancements.
• Define essential quality metrics to ensure manufacturing cells comply with customer Quality Control standards.
• Assist the estimations team in preparing accurate customer quotations.
• Generate processes, technical drawings, and specifications for tooling design and fabrication.

Required Skills and Experience

• Possession of a third-level qualification in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a comparable engineering position.
• Strong understanding of metal manufacturing techniques and methods.
• Proven teamwork capabilities, interacting effectively with multiple departments, customers, and suppliers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Disciplined approach to record-keeping and key performance indicator (KPI) maintenance.
• Ability to independently identify and resolve engineering problems without supervision.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is mandatory.
