Job description
Role Overview
As a Meat Cutter, you will be tasked with slicing and preparing diverse meat products in alignment with company standards. Your responsibilities include portioning meats, creating value-added products, grinding, wrapping, labeling with prices, and ensuring the department is clean and sufficiently stocked. Additional duties may involve assisting other departments as needed, while maintaining compliance with safety protocols, food safety standards, and delivering a positive customer experience.
Qualifications & Skills
Applicants should hold a high school diploma or GED. Prior experience in retail or similar roles, especially related to meat cutting, is preferred. Essential skills include basic reading, writing, and math capabilities, alongside strong attention to detail. Knowledge of various meat products and proficiency in suggestive selling techniques is advantageous.
Physical Demands
The position requires the ability to lift weights up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and bend frequently, and work under varying temperature conditions. Reasonable accommodations will be made for qualified individuals with disabilities.
