Role Overview
As a Meat Cutter, you will deliver courteous and professional service to customers while preparing and presenting meat products for sale and displays. Your role will help maintain an engaging environment for both employees and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver customer service tailored to individual needs.
- Prepare and process meat products accurately.
- Stock and merchandise the meat section as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat department.
- Receive, check, and process meat deliveries and orders.
- Fill special meat product orders as requested.
- Engage in professional growth and development activities.
- Ensure compliance with company meat standards and Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies and standards.
- Support administrative tasks as required.
- Provide technical training and guidance to new staff and clerks.
- Assist the Meat Manager and department clerks when necessary.
Qualifications and Experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of meat department operations and related skills.
- Capability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- At least 12 months of relevant experience.
