Position Overview

The Meat Clerk role involves operating efficiently in a dynamic, multitasking setting, often working independently or within a team in cooler conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide customer assistance as needed, ensuring positive interactions.
• Maintain a balance of speed and accuracy when stocking and wrapping meat products.
• Prepare and price various raw meat items for display, handling them with care.
• Utilize meat department machinery such as automatic wrappers, scales, and slicers proficiently.
• Lift and transport products weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
• Clean and sanitize assigned work areas under guidance of the Meat Staff leader.
• Maintain cleanliness of display cases and replenish supplies regularly.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

• Strong communication skills with attentive listening abilities.
• Physical capability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist as required by the role.
• Ability to thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced retail environment.

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions

• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking throughout the store.
• Workplace environment ranges from typical retail noise levels and temperatures to cooler areas.
• Minimal sitting during shifts.

Working Hours

The store operates from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM, seven days a week, requiring availability during these times.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly wage ranges between $15.00 and $20.10, varying based on location, individual experience, skills, and education. Although manager roles may include quarterly bonuses tied to company performance metrics, this position does not specify bonuses.
