Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the meat department to ensure it remains customer-ready at all times, including proper zoning and regular stock rotation while removing expired or unsellable items.
• Ensure merchandise is accurately priced and clearly signed, following all established protocols related to ordering, clearances, markups, markdowns, pricing, labeling, and signage.
• Adhere strictly to food safety and cold chain management standards, including routine temperature monitoring, calibrating thermometers, proper handling, product rotation, and compliance with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli products, such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken, by safely operating slicers, stackers, rotisserie ovens, deep fryers, and other equipment to fulfill customer orders and replenish display cases.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and company policies to sustain a safe, clean, and sanitary workplace environment.
• Be flexible with work schedules, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays, ensuring smooth store operations and consistent high-quality customer service.

Challenges

• Handle a demanding workload in a fast-paced environment efficiently, including overnight shifts with effective planning to stay alert and focused.
• Manage extensive restocking and department recovery tasks accurately and within designated timeframes.
• Meet physical demands such as prolonged standing, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment weighing up to 20 lbs, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Consistently perform repetitive stocking, zoning, and product organization duties while paying careful attention to detail to maintain store standards.

Compensation

The starting hourly wage for this role is $18.70.

Minimum Requirements
