Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and appropriate zoning of the meat department to keep it customer's ready at all times.
• Conduct regular stock rotation and remove expired or unsellable items promptly.
• Ensure all products are correctly priced and signed, adhering to procedures for pricing adjustments, labeling, and signage.
• Follow strict food safety and cold chain protocols, including monitoring temperatures, calibrating thermometers, handling food properly, and complying with sell-by and expiration dates.
• Prepare and serve deli products like meat, cheese, and fried chicken, safely using slicers, ovens, fryers, and other equipment.
• Comply with health and safety standards and company policies to maintain a hygienic and safe workplace environment.
• Demonstrate scheduling flexibility, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet business demands.

Challenges

• Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently in a fast-paced, sometimes overnight, environment requiring careful planning to maintain focus and energy.
• Perform physical duties that include standing for long periods, bending, and lifting items up to 50 lbs., along with repetitive stocking and organizing tasks requiring attention to detail.

Compensation

The starting hourly pay rate for this role is $16.45.
