Location and Salary

This position is located in Wymondham. The annual full-time salary is GBP 25,583, equating to GBP 15.24 per hour, inclusive of holiday pay allowance and additional payments for overnight duties.

Position Details

The vacancy is permanent and involves a variety of shifts, including weekends. The matron role is a vital part of the boarding house team at Wymondham College, which is recognized as a leading state school in the East of England, rated Outstanding in Education and Boarding as of 2023.

Role Summary

Matrons play a significant role in the personal development and welfare of students aged 11 to 16, focusing on the health and wellbeing of boarders. Responsibilities include assisting the House leadership team and supervising students during evenings, overnight hours, and mornings.
