Mathematics Tutor for Lower Primary Student

Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and patient tutor to support a young learner in mastering foundational coding and mathematics skills. The ideal candidate should have a passion for educating children and be able to break down technical topics into clear and engaging lessons.

Schedule and Location

• Lesson Timing: Every Sunday from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM
• Venue: Student's residence in Queenstown, Singapore

Key Duties

• Deliver fundamental concepts through interactive, age-appropriate teaching approaches
• Design and prepare engaging lesson plans and activities tailored to the child's development stage
• Develop lesson content and worksheets aligned with Singapore's primary school curriculum
• Maintain regular communication with the parent to report on progress

Required Qualifications and Attributes

• Excellent academic background in Mathematics, ideally with honors such as second upper or cum laude
• Fluent proficiency in both spoken and written English and Mandarin Chinese to effectively communicate with the student
• Previous experience tutoring young children, preferably within international or primary school settings
• Dependable, punctual, and dedicated to providing consistent tutoring sessions over the long term
• Patient and responsible temperament with comfort in teaching young youth
• Professional, warm, and encouraging presence
• Willingness and ability to travel to the student's home

Desirable Skills

• Experience in tutoring or teaching roles
• Knowledge of beginner-friendly coding platforms such as Scratch, micro:bit, or mBlock
