Mezzo House Ltd runs Mezzo Maths, a forward-thinking mathematics education initiative created by Ghanaian math experts. Under the leadership of Bishop Dr. Peter Osei Akoto, the organization partners with the Ghana Mathematical Association and Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Gambia (MoBSE). This program specializes in making maths simple, engaging, and fun, helping children gain confidence and a genuine passion for the subject through practical and learner-centered teaching methods.

Role Overview

The Maths Tutor will work full-time on-site in Accra, delivering lessons based on the Mezzo Maths approach. Responsibilities include planning lessons, instructing students both individually and in small groups, assessing and tracking learner progress, and giving constructive feedback. The tutor will also prepare educational materials, attend training sessions, collaborate with team members to refine teaching techniques, maintain detailed records of student achievements, and communicate progress to stakeholders professionally and promptly.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

• Comprehensive understanding of essential maths concepts such as Algebra and problem-solving strategies.
• Experience in tutoring, including online methods, with adaptability to accommodate various learning styles.
• Strong communication abilities to clearly explain maths topics and listen actively.
• Academic qualifications in Mathematics, Education, or related disciplines; teaching credentials or certification is a plus.
• Proven experience working with children or young learners, with a strong dedication to interactive and learner-focused maths education.
• Capable of managing classroom environments on-site in Accra, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Excellent organizational skills, reliability, and enthusiasm for continuous professional growth and training.
