About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Math Teacher to instruct students in Grades 4 through 6 in Jeddah. The successful candidate will provide clear, engaging, and interactive Mathematics lessons aimed at strengthening students' foundational knowledge and enhancing their problem-solving capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Design and teach dynamic Mathematics lessons tailored for Grades 4, 5, and 6 students.
- Deliver mathematical concepts confidently using practical examples, demonstrations, and activities focused on problem solving.
- Utilize interactive, student-centered teaching methodologies that foster participation, inquiry, critical thinking, and learner autonomy.
- Align instructional content and delivery with international curriculum standards and the school's academic goals.
- Create lesson plans, classroom exercises, assignments, quizzes, exams, and additional learning tools.
- Evaluate student performance regularly, track individual progress, offer constructive feedback, and provide extra support when required.
- Adjust teaching approaches to accommodate diverse learning needs and help students overcome mathematical difficulties.
- Maintain a well-structured, positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Promote development of students' numerical reasoning, analytical skills, and confidence in Mathematics.
- Collaborate effectively with academic leaders, fellow educators, and parents to advance student learning and achievement.
Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Have at least two years of experience teaching Mathematics.
- Experience with British or American school curricula is mandatory.
- Preferably, have prior exposure to teaching elementary or lower-middle school students, particularly Grades 4 to 6.
- Exhibit excellent English communication skills, including clear and confident speech suited for classroom delivery.
- Demonstrate the ability to explain mathematical ideas naturally without heavy reliance on textbooks, slides, or scripts.
- Adopt an engaging and interactive teaching style that centers on the learners.
- Show strong classroom management skills and effective communication capabilities.
- Capable of nurturing mathematical reasoning, problem-solving ability, and independent thinking skills in students.
- Located in or willing to relocate to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
