About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Materials Inspector to become part of our Project and Construction Management team based in Riyadh. This position operates within our Infrastructure Division and requires expertise in Civil Engineering and transportation-related projects such as roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels situated in urban areas.
Key Duties
- Perform daily inspections on materials delivered to ensure they meet approved specifications, submittals, and contract standards.
- Authenticate material certifications and test documentation before approving materials for use.
- Oversee storage, handling, and protection of materials to ensure compliance with required standards.
- Liaise with contractors, QA/QC personnel, and engineering disciplines to address any material deficiencies or non-conformance.
- Support review of materials submittals and testing reports.
- Ensure removal of rejected or non-compliant materials in accordance with quality procedures.
- Maintain comprehensive records, logs, and reports for all inspected materials.
- Contribute to site meetings involving materials approvals and quality issues.
- Facilitate adherence to project quality management systems related to materials.
- Coordinate with supervisory teams to guarantee traceability and compliance for all materials utilized.
Candidate Profile
- Holds a diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a similar technical field.
- Brings more than seven years of experience in project management, particularly in large construction projects with emphasis on onsite landscaping.
- Knowledgeable about construction, design, and engineering fundamentals.
- Familiar with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficient in English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities including report writing and strong interpersonal skills.
- Capable of working collaboratively within teams, demonstrating problem-solving aptitude, autonomy, adaptability, and technical discipline.
- Motivated to work within a diverse multinational corporate culture.
- Holds a valid Saudi Council of Engineers membership.
- Currently residing in Riyadh with a transferable residency permit (Iqama) if non-Saudi.
