MSL Engineering Ltd. provides mechanical engineering contracting services, executing intricate projects across Ireland and Europe. We are currently searching for a Material & Systems Coordinator based in Ringaskiddy to aid our fabrication and project activities.

Role Overview

This position reports to the Store Manager and is located in Ringaskiddy, County Cork, supporting MSL projects in Ireland and Europe. The coordinator will oversee the precise management, movement, and traceability of mechanical materials used on our projects. This role blends practical knowledge of mechanical components with a strict adherence to system processes, primarily maintaining accurate stock data and material certifications within the ISAMS (Isometric Administration & Management System).

Key Responsibilities

• Manage picking, staging, and issuance of materials to fabrication, assembly, and on-site project teams.
• Maintain precise material transaction records and stock levels in ISAMS.
• Detect and communicate shortages, inconsistencies, and non-conforming materials.
• Cross-check incoming deliveries against purchase orders, packing lists, and project specifics.
• Validate material certifications and sustain traceability from receipt to issue.
• Assist in cycle counts, inventory verifications, and control operations.
• Ensure proper storage, preservation, and segregation of materials as per company and project standards.
• Collaborate with Central Engineering, Purchasing, Fabrication, and site teams regarding material needs.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, organized, and compliant store environment.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Competence in reading and interpreting piping isometric drawings and work documentation.
• Familiarity with mechanical process materials, such as pipes, fittings, flanges, gaskets, and fasteners.
• Strong IT proficiency and ability to meticulously manage database-driven systems.
• High attention to detail, especially concerning material specifications and certifications.
• Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate clearly with diverse teams.

Desirable Qualifications

• Background in stores, material control, or coordination within mechanical engineering, piping, or construction sectors.
• Understanding of material certification processes and EN 10204 standards.
• Experience with ERP or material management software.
• Previous work in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or data centre project environments.
