Job Overview
The Material Manager will be responsible for managing the receipt, storage, issuance, and monitoring of materials at the yard, ensuring efficient inventory control and collaboration with procurement and project teams for timely material availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and receive incoming materials, validating them against purchase orders.
- Systematically organize and store materials in assigned yard locations.
- Keep precise records of stock levels and document material movements.
- Distribute materials according to project needs and update inventory registers accordingly.
- Coordinate with procurement for material requisitions and restocking.
- Perform regular inventory audits and address any discrepancies found.
- Ensure all material transactions are documented properly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of storage areas.
- Adhere to safety guidelines during material handling and storage activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Holds a B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or possesses relevant experience in these fields.
- Preferably 4-5 years of experience in material or store management.
- Basic understanding of inventory management and proficiency in MS Excel.
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Capable of working independently on-site at the yard.
Work Details and Compensation
Work Location: Panavally, Cherthala, Kerala, India
Salary Range: ₹25,000 to ₹30,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
