About the Employer and Location
This position is based at Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara, part of the Minor Hotels group, a global hotel owner and operator with a portfolio of over 530 properties worldwide. Minor Hotels operates internationally across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, South America, and the Indian Ocean region.
Key Responsibilities
The Mason will be tasked with executing preventive maintenance duties as outlined in the hotel's maintenance schedule. Duties include thorough cleaning of work areas upon completion of tasks, professional care and upkeep of all tools provided by the hotel, and proper storage of equipment after shifts. The role also involves active contribution towards the hotel's energy conservation initiatives and proposing cost-saving measures related to engineering and beyond.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of certified technical or vocational training applicable to the role.
- At least one year of hands-on experience within a hotel engineering department.
- Solid knowledge and skills in civil construction or masonry work.
