Position Summary
We are seeking a personable and diligent Market Merchandiser to join our team full-time in Ocala, FL. This role involves managing inventory and ensuring vending machines and coolers are stocked and maintained effectively at client locations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Accept deliveries of products including soft drinks, bakery items, snacks, and specialty foods at assigned client sites.
- Stock vending machines to optimal inventory levels with beverages, pastries, and packaged foods.
- Arrange products properly on shelves or inside machines and coolers while ensuring refrigeration standards are met for perishable items.
- Manage merchandise ordering and keep inventory under control.
- Retrieve unsold or expired merchandise regularly.
- Collect and handle cash including coins and bills from vending machines securely.
- Engage customers positively through friendly communication such as eye contact and smiles.
- Conduct routine cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of vending equipment and keep vending areas tidy.
Candidate Requirements
- Enthusiastic and outgoing personality capable of promoting products effectively.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
- Excellent verbal communication skills with both customers and colleagues.
- Ability to perform arithmetic operations including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals to support daily tasks.
