Role Overview
The Market Manager is responsible for expanding a portfolio of accounts by either directly managing accounts or enhancing existing partnerships. This role involves analyzing business operations to identify improvement opportunities, managing service delivery for active accounts, and ensuring the execution of strategic account plans. Sharing best practices across teams and regions is also a key element of the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customer account teams and key decision-makers.
- Facilitate opportunities such as progress and exploratory meetings to grow customer accounts.
- Identify and communicate customer business challenges through appropriate organizational channels.
- Recommend suitable products, services, and insights aligned with customer needs.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of departmental functions and their role within the broader organization.
- Stay informed about organizational policies, industry trends, competitors, and the financial implications of decisions.
- Support senior colleagues by documenting business case components for change initiatives.
- Acquire knowledge of financial data and contract terms, collaborating with legal teams when adjustments are necessary.
- Engage effectively in contract negotiations and resolve key objections proactively.
- Conduct straightforward cost-benefit-risk analyses of solutions and implications of non-agreements.
- Involve stakeholders in decision-making processes to benefit accounts and organizational objectives.
- Build expertise in company product offerings and competitor services, applying this insight to accounts strategically.
- Maintain ongoing business relationships internally and externally to support portfolio needs.
- Understand customer industries and competitive landscapes to tailor value propositions effectively.
- Attend customer meetings to grasp their expectations and performance metrics for products and services.
- Create key value propositions, case studies, and other materials to communicate the benefits of company offerings.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree or Master’s degree with equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience for Bachelor’s degree holders; 0-2 years for Master’s degree holders.
- Fluency in English and the local market language where applicable.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in sales strategies.
- Experience with portfolio management, relationship building, upselling, and cross-selling techniques.
Compensation
The salary range for this position in Dublin is €58,500 to €82,000 annually, with potential to increase up to €93,500 based on sustained performance and other factors such as location, budget, and individual skills.
