Role Overview
We offer a permanent position for a Manufacturing Technologist / Maintenance Technician at our Castlebar site. This hands-on role supports reliability and performance in advanced manufacturing critical to healthcare products. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and optimize plant equipment and manufacturing systems to ensure safe, efficient operations
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational faults using systematic problem-solving techniques
- Support installation, commissioning, and continuous improvements for new and existing machinery
- Manage inventory to guarantee availability of essential spare parts
- Conduct planned preventative maintenance to high standards of safety and quality
- Provide accurate technical documentation and assist in audit processes
- Work collaboratively across teams to maintain smooth communication and operations

Essential Qualifications
- Trade qualification in electrical or mechanical disciplines OR a third-level degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with manufacturing or pharmaceutical experience
Desirable Skills

- Experience with mechanical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, or automation technologies
- Familiarity with pneumatics, hydraulics, or low-voltage control systems
