About IBF

The Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF) is the primary agency leading workforce competency and transformation within Singapore's financial services sector. IBF partners with industry participants, government bodies, and educational providers to equip finance professionals with necessary skills supporting Singapore's growth as a global financial hub. Designated as the Jobs Development Partner for the financial sector by the National Jobs Council since 2020, IBF steers initiatives focused on job creation, career conversion, and talent development, alongside overseeing competency standards and certifications aligned with the Skills Framework for Financial Services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze jobs and skills data within the financial services industry to detect emerging trends and declines, facilitating informed policy-making and program design.
  • Generate regular management reports to evaluate the effectiveness of workforce development and skills enhancement initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience in utilizing business intelligence reporting tools, such as Tableau, along with programming proficiency in languages like Python or R for data handling, including parsing JSON files and consolidating data frames.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and collaborate with development teams to align data elements with data warehouses and datamarts.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint, coupled with a sound understanding of statistical analysis.
  • Strong communication abilities and proven competence in managing internal stakeholders as a collaborative team member.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail for managing and optimizing data reporting environments.
  • Motivation to support workforce employability improvements and promote lifelong skills development across various learning initiatives.
  • Adaptability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, demonstrating a results-driven approach and readiness to extend beyond defined responsibilities.
