Manager - Transfer Pricing

About the Role

This role is integral to our Transfer Pricing Services team, a multidisciplinary group of economists, tax professionals, and analysts committed to advising clients internationally. The team aims to help clients optimize tax efficiency and mitigate risks related to revenue authority challenges through expert guidance on transfer pricing policies, documentation, and compliance with local and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic advice to multinational clients across various industries by pinpointing value creation locations and ensuring business activities are remunerated, recorded, and reported in line with Australian and global regulatory standards.
• Perform comprehensive financial, economic, value chain, and benchmarking analyses to prepare transfer pricing documentation enabling clients to plan, support, and defend transfer pricing arrangements concerning diverse transactions such as intellectual property, royalties, loans, services, goods, and capital transactions.
• Participate in client and Australian Taxation Office (ATO) meetings alongside senior transfer pricing and tax professionals.
• Support the implementation of operational transfer pricing models within ERP systems utilizing technological solutions.
• Engage in continuous professional development by undergoing both practical on-the-job training and formal learning on Australian and global transfer pricing developments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience in Australian transfer pricing advisory and compliance, including the preparation of transfer pricing analyses, documentation, and models supporting complex projects.
• Previous work experience in transfer pricing either within a Big 4 or mid-tier firm, the ATO, or corporate sector.
• Strong analytical and technical skills, particularly proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel.
• Proven ability to foster teamwork, influence outcomes collaboratively, and maintain productive client relationships.
• Experience in managing multiple client engagements and strengthening client partnerships proactively.
• Involvement in mentoring, training, and developing junior team members.
• Relevant academic background in Accounting, Economics, Commerce, Finance, or Law; progress towards or achievement of CA/CPA qualifications.
