Role Overview
The Corporate Business Technology (CBT) team is searching for a Technical Product Owner to oversee Finance applications on Treasury platforms such as SAP ECC/S4, JAVA, and SWIFT technologies. This role leads the Treasury squad, establishing vision and setting priorities for projects and enhancements to support Global Treasury Services. It requires collaboration with stakeholders throughout Johnson & Johnson to plan, implement, and deploy programs and projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and communicate a clear multi-phase product vision and strategy, maximizing return on investment by prioritizing features with the highest business value.
- Develop and execute global solutions and strategies, identifying opportunities to leverage technology to simplify business processes, improve automation, and optimize costs.
- Collaborate closely with business partners to understand their needs, negotiate deliverables, and manage expectations regarding project capacity and priorities.
- Participate in business planning by forecasting demand and securing necessary funding within business plans.
- Drive business process improvement and lead change management initiatives within the business partner community.
- Analyze business requirements, conduct gap analyses, support prototyping, test case development, and deployment activities.
- Track the progress of Treasury system development projects within the wider Treasury portfolio, delivering regular status updates to business and technology leadership.
- Ensure service level agreements meet business partner expectations, maintaining global and regional accountability where applicable.
- Lead medium to large projects, coordinating across technology teams to ensure successful initiative delivery.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to team members, fostering knowledge sharing and leadership skills.
- Manage vendor relationships, evaluating software, hardware, and services to ensure compliance with Johnson & Johnson standards and security policies.
- Emphasize security considerations in all technology planning and operations.
Experience and Qualifications
- Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Over 10 years of professional experience including at least 5 years working on implementation and maintenance of Treasury solutions such as SAP and SWIFT.
- Experience with at least one full S/4HANA Finance implementation cycle.
- Minimum of 2 years managing matrix teams comprising internal staff and contractors.
- Proven track record managing complex global projects, processes, and systems, including cloud-based application delivery (e.g., SaaS).
- Skilled in business case and value case development and management.
- Hands-on, disciplined project management skills with knowledge of software validation in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with core application development principles, SDLC methodology, and ability to lead teams through full system lifecycle from concept to production deployment.
- Experience supporting application portfolios post-launch.
