Role Overview

The Category Manager for CCFS Procurement will be responsible for leading the regional category management for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) across the EMEA region, with additional responsibilities supporting select APAC locations. Situated at a Johnson & Johnson site in Ireland, this role drives strategic procurement projects, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure efficient supplier management and successful delivery of capital projects.

Key Duties

• Lead and execute category strategy for MRO in the EMEA zone, also assisting APAC sites as needed.
• Collaborate with Engineering & Property Services, Supply Chain, Finance, and Procurement teams to align on strategy and deliver value improvements.
• Coordinate with related categories such as Capital Equipment and Facility Maintenance to support project requirements.
• Represent Procurement in key forums, ensuring transparent communication and facilitating project transitions.
• Manage sourcing and procurement processes incorporating strategic negotiations, contract management, and supplier evaluation based on cost, risk, and capabilities.
• Leverage digital tools and analytics including GenAI-enabled applications to enhance procurement insights and category strategies.
• Maintain and improve supplier relationships to meet objectives in quality, reliability, innovation, service, and cost efficiency.
• Proactively resolve procurement-related issues emphasizing the company's Credo values.
• Deliver on business plans including cost savings, supplier management, cash flow, and operational excellence.
• Monitor project milestones, report leadership updates, and mitigate risks to ensure successful category outcomes.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; fields like Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, Science, or Finance preferred.
• At least 6 years of procurement experience with a solid understanding of procurement processes and value proposition.
• Proven experience in managing sourcing activities and RFx processes for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong financial acumen and history of compliance with financial protocols.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with the ability to prioritize and develop effective solutions.
• Commitment to ethical, Credo-based decision making, confidentiality, and responsiveness.

Preferred Background

• MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree.
• Minimum two years in MRO or CCFS category procurement.
• Experience within pharmaceutical or medical technology sectors with manufacturing knowledge.
• Ability to work across geographies managing complex supplier relationships.
• Experience leveraging data analytics, market intelligence, and digital or AI tools for sourcing and negotiation.
• Strong business insight and project management capabilities.
• Understanding of AI principles and ethical AI application with prompt engineering skills to boost efficiency.

• English language proficiency is mandatory.
• Role requires up to 10% travel.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position lies between €70,100 and €121,210 annually.
