Team Overview
The Technical Account Management (TAM) team supports Stripe's largest and fastest-growing paid customers. We focus on proactive consulting, best practice advice, and continuous managed services to help users optimize and grow. A high standard of user service and consistently exceeding expectations are at the core of our work.
Role Responsibilities
- Collaborate with TAM leadership to craft strategies for Stripe's top segments and complex engagements.
- Lead and mentor a group of accomplished Technical Account Managers managing major platform and direct merchants across EMEA.
- Work cross-functionally with GTM, Customer Success Management, Product, Engineering, Professional Services, and Solution Architects to develop comprehensive solutions for EMEA platform users.
- Recruit, retain, and develop high-caliber technical talent as the team expands.
- Drive excellence in service delivery, increase service-related revenue, and contribute to key strategic initiatives.
- Create a supportive, effective work environment encouraging career growth and high performance.
- Set precise objectives and directions for the team and individuals; regularly provide constructive feedback.
- Utilize user feedback and data analytics to improve operational efficiency and service quality.
- Act as a strong advocate for Stripe users internally, championing their needs.
- Embody and promote Stripe's core values focused on user-centricity, transparency, empathy, inclusion, and empowerment.
- Lead organizational development projects including recruitment, team training, policy formulation, process optimization, and other improvements.
Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications:
- Over 7 years of experience in areas such as professional services, customer success, solutions architecture, or technical account management.
- At least 3 years managing senior technical individual contributors.
- Experience partnering with strategic accounts.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build trust with users, uphold high quality standards, and demonstrate leadership by example.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in fintech SaaS products and familiarity with the payments industry.
- Proven success leading growth initiatives that drive sales revenue and improve operational services.
- Demonstrated aptitude for scaling technical or support teams in fast-growing environments.
Work Location Expectations
Employees assigned to offices are generally expected to spend half their working time monthly onsite or with clients. Specific attendance requirements vary by role, team, and location. For example, some roles in Dublin, India, and Mexico City require full-time office presence. These arrangements balance collaboration and flexibility according to team needs.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual remuneration for this role in Dublin ranges between €106,400 and €159,600. The range varies based on location and candidate experience. Sales roles may have compensation structured around On Target Earnings, including commissions and bonuses. Additional benefits can include equity, company bonuses, retirement plans, healthcare, and wellness allowances, which will be discussed during the interview process.
